Camper trailers have become popular for a number of reasons and when you compare them to the traditional “camping tent” the advantages are quite obvious and compelling. For starters you have the convenience of simply hooking up and going camping, everything is contained in one place and this can save you a lot of time and trouble when setting out on a camping holiday. Camping trailers offer in built storage for cooking, power generators, fishing equipment and any extra things you might want to take along for the trip. When you arrive at your camping spot the camper trailer transforms very quickly from trailer to tent quickly even in the hands of a total camping novice! Sleeping up “off the ground” is another advantage, getting in and out of bed is easy and of course if the weather happens to turn nasty then at least your not going to wake up in a puddle of water! Is there a downside to using a camper trailer? Cost and storage may be issues to some people and of course your going to need a vehilce to tow the tailer with, beyond those two points the camper trailer offers a lot of advantages over the traditional camping tent.

We make use of our camper trailer often, we also take a tent for the kids to use so I guess you could say we like both. Camper trailers are great for convenience and being able to hook up and go quickly is just great. There is a lot to be said for having all of your camping gear in the one place as well and that includes the cooking side of things.
We are on our third camper trailer and I think they are just great, I would not have it any other way. We have upgraded from basic to bigger and better with all the bells. Our trailer is able to sleep us and the 3 kids easily and we have a lot of fun up the beach. Trailers are a great way to go!
